Keymark is interviewing and hiring Material Handlers for the manufacturing warehouse and production line in Fonda, NY. No experience is required – We will train you!

Scope of Work:

As a General Laborer in the Manufacturing Extrusion Production Line and Warehouse, your responsibilities include:

Ensuring production material is transported safely throughout the facility to its processed destination through certified use of overhead cranes,

electric cart movers, and fork trucks. You will also responsible for verifying the required temper using a Webster hardness tester prior to moving material to the next department.

Understanding fields in EPICS is required to ensure orders are completed.

An ideal candidate for this position will have basic computer use and knowledge, the ability to use a Webster hardness tester to obtain hardness readings (verify temper) and have the ability to notice and suggest corrective actions for defective material.

Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect cranes, electric cart movers, and rigging devices prior to use
  • Document crane inspections
  • Verify Webster calibration with test strip prior to use
  • Check material after the aging process to ensure metal meets specification
  • Identify material checked for hardness with green sticker
  • Identify material not checked for hardness with yellow sticker
  • Unload ovens, safe transport of racks to their processed departments
  • Follow proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures for damaged racks
  • Identify out of specification material with red tag
  • Add items with hardness issues to the “Items on Hold” list with reason and required
  • action
