Job Description
This position is a school- and home-based placement prevention program that provides services to youth and families who have been identified as having chronic absences. The program targets the causes of absenteeism and seeks to improve attendance, while providing children and families with strategies for academic and social success.

• Develop and implement child-centered activities and incentives as motivational tools

• Advocate on behalf of the child in the school while increasing students’ and parents participation in school activities and functions

• Form engaging and therapeutic relationships with children and families

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

 • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with at risk children and families

• Experience with developing relationships with schools, community partners, counties and agencies is a must

• A clean, valid driver’s license is required. Local and regional travel is required daily

• Ability to provide on-call coverage; flexible schedule with evenings required

• MS office Skills required
