Drawing and Painting Studio Session 3: Acrylic Practice Thursday, January 30 4:30p-7:00p Grand Gallery Cost*: $125 for the full 5-part class, $25 for individual class-- Pre-registration required, materials not included This multi-session studio class will help you improve your skills in drawing and painting. The series of open-studio art classes will give you the chance to practice with various materials and build up your skills. We will work with graphite, charcoal and acrylic to complete multiple fine-art compositions. Each class will begin with a group critique of the prior artwork; then we will go into the lesson of the next material and begin working on our composition. Week 3- Group Critique of Week 2 composition Color wheel, color themes, color scales, tinting and shading. Acrylic painting from observation. To reduce the cost of the class, students will be required to purchase materials. A class materials list is provided. You can either sign up for a single session, or sign up for the entire series every Thursday from 1/16-2/13. *Members receive a 20% discount. The Glove's Open Mic welcomes singers (we even have Karaoke available!), dancers, slam poets, magicians, stand-up comedians, and variety artists of all kinds to take The Glove Theatre?s mainstage for a 10 minute maximum set. Polish up your repertoire, stretch, warm-up, and strut your stuff at The Glove! Open mic: 7.00pm - 9.30pm (sign-up begins at 6.30pm) $5.00 suggested donation for audience members. Use the back entrance of JHS by the pool/bus loop and sign in with a school attendant ? The program will not run when school is not in session or if campus is closed due to inclement weather ? Swim program will not operate on the following Saturdays: 12/28, 2/15, and 2/22 ? Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Toddlers and younger must wear swimming diapers in the pool. You are allowed to bring in your own swimming aides (swimmies and other devices that are intended to help you stay afloat and swim). Pool floats are prohibited.
