Free Family Movie Matinees Presents: The Super Mario Bros Movie & Mario Kart Tournament at The Glove Theatre

Mario Kart Tournament Signup, Rules, and Requirements:

Sign-up will begin at 11.30am, and tournament will begin promptly at noon.

We ask that only kids ages 6-16 sign up.

Participants should bring their own Nintendo Switch Console, copy of Mario Kart 8 (digital copies are OK, too), and an extra controller.

Participants should have an active Nintendo Online Account.

We appreciate participants who are able to share their Switch or controller with a friend who may not have their own so that as many kids who wish to compete may do so.

Preliminary heats will take place in groups of 12 participants maximum, with a maximum of 12 heats. Participants will be asked to share their Switch Friend Code with those participating in their heat. A heat will consist of 4, randomly chosen courses.

The top 2 from each heat will move on to the semifinals, which will be held in 2 heats of 4 randomly chosen courses each.

The top 6 from each semifinal will compete in the Grand Final, which will be held in a single heat of 4 randomly chosen courses on the Glove Theatre’s large movie screen.

*The Glove Theatre will not be providing Switch Consoles, extra controllers, nor copies of Mario Kart 8 to any participant. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
