It doesn?t look like much from the exterior, but enter the Bookstore and you?ll discover a world of treasures in print, everything from books on gardening and ecology to novels and biographies ? and a whole lot more. A wonderful selection donated by discerning readers. We?re often asked if the Bookstore is open when we are not having a plant sale, so in addition being open during our book sales, we will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM on second Saturdays through August. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Disney songs including ?The Bare Necessities? and ?I Wan'na Be Like You.? With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book KIDS is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages! Adapted from Disney's beloved animated film and the works of Rudyard Kipling, the ?man cub.? Mowgli, bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human. In the middle of the 20th century a new music came into being. It was a fusion of pop, rhythm and blues and country. It cut across race and class, city and country. No body owned it or controlled it then. They called it rock and roll and music hasn?t been the same since. Johnny and The Triumphs make this kind of music: rockabilly, rhythm and blues and old time rock and roll. They make music to dance to. They are not an imitation 50s band. They are much more the real thing. Without pretense Johnny and the Triumphs capture the feel and spirit and drive of those early years.
