Maintenance Technician

FAGE USA Dairy Industry, Inc. is searching for Maintenance Technicians that possess the right technical and interpersonal skills to support the technical aspects and requirements of an Automated Food Processing and Packaging Facility.

12hr- 6am to 6pm
12hr - 6pm to 6am

Duties/Responsibilities

Supporting production by providing high-quality and timely mechanical support of machines and equipment.
Effectively communicate reliability concerns to supervisor on duty
Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment as well as rebuilds of Automated Production Equip.
Assisting with machine change-overs and pre-starts
Able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required preventive and corrective maintenance measures
Willingness to participate in a team environment to work towards a common company goal of creating a safe workplace and quality product.
Skills/Abilities

Experience in Processing Equipment (sanitary valves, pumps, plate heat exchangers, homogenizers, centrifugal separators etc.) and/or Aseptic filling technology.
Basic knowledge and troubleshooting experience with instrumentation (flow-meters, pressure transmitters, level switches etc.), temperature sensors, photo-electrics, analog circuit control and low voltage power distribution are a plus.
Experience with pneumatics (compressed air components) are a plus; knowledge and experience with hydraulics.
Experience of maintaining and troubleshooting steam and condensate equipment during operation (valves, steam traps, steam pumps etc.) will be considered as an advantage.
Sanitary TIG Welding experience preferred but, not required.
Knowledge of standard industrial safety procedures & programs such as lock out tag out.
Experience with basic hand & power tools.
Requirements:

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, good communication skills, minimum two years of similar or related work experience
