Physical Therapy Assistant

Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time available
Shift: Days

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:
• Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.

• Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.

• Documents treatment interventions given.

• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
 

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the New York Board of Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Associate degree program in Physical Therapist Assistant, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and approved by the New York State Education Department.
