VACANCY: This is a permanent position in the Services Unit due to the position becoming unencumbered.
2026 SALARY: $21.94 per hour
APPOINTMENT:
- Reassignment: A permanent Typist within the Department of Social Services may apply for reassignment without further examination.
- Transfer: If you are a permanent Typist in another County Department and have completed your probationary period in that title, you may apply for a transfer from one department to another. If you are requesting a transfer, contact the Personnel Department for a Transfer Form. Transfers are subject to a probationary term, approval of the new appointing authority and the Director of Personnel. (Do not resign from your permanent Typist position as a resignation will make you ineligible for transfer.)
- Permanent Appointment: A permanent appointment may be made from a certified list of eligibles, if available. This title has also been approved under the HELP Program. Candidates who meet the Minimum Qualifications and Special Requirements may receive a permanent non-competitive appointment to this position.
