Job Summary:
The Automotive Title Clerk at James Chevrolet is a crucial member of our team, responsible for ensuring that all vehicle titles are processed accurately and efficiently. Compensation & Benefits:
As an Automotive Title Clerk at James Chevrolet, you will receive a competitive hourly wage of $17 to $21 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to this salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Process vehicle titles for all sales and trade-in vehicles
  • Check for accuracy and completeness of all paperwork related to vehicle titles
  • Submit and track title documents with the appropriate state agencies
  • Prepare and submit lien releases and title transfers for paid-off vehicles
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure timely title processing
  • Serve as a liaison with customers, state agencies, and financial institutions to resolve any title issues or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all titles and related documents
  • Keep up-to-date with state laws and regulations related to vehicle titles and registration
  • Complete any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or General Manager

Requirements:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in automotive title processing or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer navigation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, state agencies, and financial institutions
  • Familiarity with state laws and regulations related to vehicle titles and registration
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
