Summer Job Opportunities – City of Amsterdam
Join Our Summer Parks Team! Begins: July 7 – August 15, 2025.
We’re hiring energetic and enthusiastic individuals to help run a fun-filled summer program in neighborhood parks throughout the City of Amsterdam!
Now hiring:
- Recreation Attendants - Lead games, crafts, and daily summer activities for kids in the park. Monday through Friday, 9:45 AM – 2:15 PM.
- Recreation Leader - Organize activities, manage staff, and coordinate a citywide Field Day. Flexible leadership role with planning hours starting before the program launch.
Locations include: Sirchia Park, Arnold Avenue Park, Esperanza Verde, Barkley School Park, Veteran’s Park, Sassafras Playground.
Activities: Chalk art, freeze dance parties, karaoke, scavenger hunts, athletic games, bubbles bonanza, and more – all leading up to our big Field Day & National Night Out celebration on August 5.
Pay starts at $15.50/hour for Attendants and $25/hour for Program Director.
