Facilities Support Lead Supervisor

Location: Amsterdam, NY

FLSA: Non Exempt

Reports To: Assistant Director of Facilities Management

Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 pounds, climbing, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and walking required.

Hours of Work: Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. On-call, holiday, and overtime work as required.

Pay Range: The pay range is $18.91 to $24.00

Job Summary:

The Facilities Support Lead Supervisor will be responsible for providing professional landscaping services for our facilities, ongoing landscaping tasks as well as maintenance of all equipment. The position also provides oversight of landscape projects completed by vendors and supervision of staff to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • Janitorial, grounds and minor repair maintenance experience and knowledge required
  • Experience in working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all agency ground care, snow removal, custodial services and pest control is completed on schedule and as agreed.
  • Provide oversight and ensure that service contract work is performed by vendors according to contract specifications.
  • Provide training and supervision for employees in areas of custodial and/or grounds maintenance. Conduct evaluations of employees' performance.
  • Maintain assigned equipment on scheduled basis and as needed.
  • Ensure that all agency, state and federal safety guidelines are followed.
  • Complete all documentation, work orders and requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Provide person centered support to individuals receiving services.
  • Follow safe operating procedures with regard to use of tools of the trade. This includes the use of knives and cutting devices in the course of work. This position is exempt from the knives restriction as outlined in the Workplace Violence Prevention Policy as knives are considered tools of the trade.
