After School Program- Aide

FOR AIDE:

Summary: Assist and support the Program Coordinator and Assistants in the daily operation of the program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Directly supervise children and assist in the facilitation of program activities
  • Maintain daily records of attendance and absences and also keep a record of snack count.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment and evaluation of the program.
  • Report any significant incident/occurrence that will require follow-up with a parent or service provider to the Program Coordinator immediately.
  • Complete and submit time sheets in a timely and accurate basis.
  • Adhere to NYS Mandated Reporter policies regarding child abuse and neglect; including compliance to all state rules and reporting requirements, and report any such information to the Program Coordinator immediately.
  • Attend trainings relevant to the enhancement of skills for the position, including the annual AASP Staff Development Day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience requirements include a High School diploma or GED with previous related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
