Responsibilities: • Manages budgetary policy/processes. • Orients and trains new employees. Monitors employee productivity and provides direction for increased service and/or productivity. • Solicits customer feedback to ensure satisfaction with quality of food and service. Implements customer suggestions and resolves problems. • Ensures departmental compliance with applicable regulations, internal/external standards, policies and procedures. • Serves as a liaison between clinical staff and medical/hospital staff and between clinical staff and food service staff. Coordinates and participates in nutrition related staff and community events.
Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
icensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (preferred) or obtained within six (6) months of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
• As of January 1, 2024, a master's degree in nutrition/Dietetics and completion of an approved dietetic internship required. Only those seeking to become eligible for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024, are required to have completed the minimum of a graduate degree granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Individuals who established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023 or those who are already registered are not required by CDR to obtain a graduate degree.
