Reports To: Controller

Physical Requirements: Must sit at a computer for extended periods of time.

Hours of Work: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Additional hours as needed.

Pay Range: The pay range is $70,126 to $100,223

 

Job Summary:

The Assistant Controller assists with management and oversight of Business Office activities as directed by the Controller. The position is directly responsible for supervision of Payroll, Accounts Payable and Manufacturing including related work papers to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.

 

Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business-related field is required.
  2. Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience required.
  3. Experience with OPWDD funding preferred.
  4. Supervisory experience preferred.
  5. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Controller in directing preparation of financial statements and reports for all entities following generally accepted accounting principles.
  2. Assist in the development and distribution of budgets and forecasts.
  3. Responsible for supervision and performance management of assigned staff.
  4. Recommend internal controls to ensure proper financial management of all entities.
  5. Assist in preparation for all internal and external audits.
  6. Maintain and monitor financial work papers, reports and ledgers according to established policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure that all corporate and regulatory reports are filed in a timely manner.
  8. Meet all Agency, Federal, State, and County Reporting requirements as established.
  9. Perform special projects as assigned.
