IT Systems Administrator

Base Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 / Year

Job Purpose: The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of the organization's core infrastructure systems supporting clinical, business, and regulatory operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining system availability, protecting patient data, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and New York Cybersecurity Regulation 23 NYCRR 500 / 405.46 (if applicable).
Education: Possess an Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Security+ and HCISPP).
Experience: Three (3) or more years of systems administration experience in a healthcare or regulated environment. Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware or Hyper-C, Backup/DR platforms, Endpoint security and patch management.
Preferred: Experience supporting EHR systems (MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, etc.). Familiarity with NY Cybersecurity Regulation 405.46 / 23 NYCRR 500. Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of HIPPA, healthcare security best practices and regulatory compliance.
